Dearly Beloved,
The following is another attempt to use the goggle of Faith to weigh and filter various thoughts from conversations under the sun, on another blessed day. Gracious Reading!
- The more separate we are from thoughts and imaginations that aren’t inspired by the Lord, the more separate we would be from the civilized idols of this world. The more holy we also would be in God’s sight—and the more of His peace we would enjoy (2Cor. 6:16-19, Gal. 6:16).
- A believer can’t claim to be free from the peace that this world gives if he hasn’t lived by the word of Christ that guarantees such; by the word that would help him locate an escape route from the false peace and security that this present world offers (Jn. 8:31-32, Jn. 14:27).
- Living righteously, soberly and godly is the triune walk of Faith in Christ that’ll enable us live like Jesus did—until He was at peace with God and became the Christ. Thereby would we be equipped to look for God like Christ did until He became the Son of God (Tit. 2:12-13, Rom. 1:17, Heb. 5:8).
- Peace is the first estate of rest that awaits every soul that has been built to understand or inherit Christ. It is the portion of all those who will live (by faith) to a place where they lose their sense of being anxious for anything – including their quest for spiritual growth or change (Matt. 11: 28, Phil. 4:6-7).
- When we succumb to the cares and pressures that this world mounts in divers ways, we actually surrender the peace or understanding that we should have gained—had we tenaciously held Faith unto the end (Matt. 13:22-23, Phil. 4:7).
- Times when the threshold of peace upon our heart drops—can always be traced to occasions when we took our eyes off the word(s) or biblical counsels that should have governed our desires or expectations; when – like Peter – we actually stepped out of faith (Matt. 14:29-31, Psa. 16:7-8, Jn. 16:33).
- Our journey into being at peace with God is guaranteed as long as we can endure the process of acknowledging every truth that would bring us into godliness; truths that will make our souls truly godly (Rom. 5:1, Isa. 32:17, Tit. 1:2).
- Nothing tampers with the peace of our mind or makes us waiver in our trust in the Lord, like anxiously seeking to know how and when the Lord will bring our expectations to pass. Nothing does so like that lust-prone desire to know what the end or outcome of a trial of faith—would be (Phil. 4:6a, Ps. 37:5).
- When we find ourselves in successive seasons of heartfelt repentance to truths that come our way, we can be rest assured that we would experience the justifications of faith that brings a soul into being at peace with God (2Cor. 7:9-10, Rom. 5:1).
- A believer whose ears, eyes and heart can be set apart long enough to hear, see and understand the gospel of Christ, will not only define it as his life but will also, someday, become a partaker of His peace (1Cor. 2:9, Heb. 12:14).
- One clue that we have pressed into formations in Christ—is that; we would delight in keeping the commandments that governs various relationships; especially those that counsels us to dwell at peace with all men (Gal. 4:19, 2Pet. 1:5-8, Heb. 12:14).
- The gospel (or inheritance) of peace can be found, if – like Mary – we can pay the price of jealously hearing it until a desire to own it is born in us; such that supersedes our previous desire for more money (Ps. 34:14, Lk. 10:42, 1Tim. 6:10).
- The Peace of God is an umpire meant to keep our heart and mind focused on attaining our eternal inheritance (God). We can attain it if we resolve to live by the faith of the Son of God; even until we overcome the temptation to settle for anything less than God (Phil. 4:7, 2 Pet. 3:14, Gal. 2:20).
- We can journey into an habitation in Christ where it becomes difficult to entertain or process thoughts that leave our soul restless. A journey through the word of righteousness guarantees this. It equips us to discern and arrest thoughts that are injurious to our soul (Matt. 6:31-34, Heb. 5:13, 2Cor. 10:5).
- We can’t attain unto the inheritance called peace, or have peace with God, except ungodly or vain thoughts that previously limited us from living righteously, soberly and godly—has been exposed and dealt with (Rom. 5:1, 2Cor. 10:5, Tit. 2:12).
Blessings!
