The only mind God trusts and approves of, is that of Christ, which can only be formed in us as we learn of His faith. Christ is the only anointed life that is far above the reach of this world.
Nothing competes with the cross of Christ in us like our human strength! We trust and glory in it and the Lord in mercy has to deal with it by sometimes doing nothing concerning our pressing physical or spiritual need, so we can be constrained to learn and trust in the strength of His grace.
So only the thoughts OF God (Rom. 1:17) can handle and overcome every other thought that is morally sound, intellectually appealing and religiously correct but yet spiritually infirm. Righteousness remains an abundant commodity of the throne though scarce in the church and on earth, because we are yet to place the right premium on it – we don’t seek it like we seek things that have commercial value!
The gospel belongs to Christ because Christ owns the power that saves; that separates man from what makes him CARNALLY NATURAL to what would make him DIVINELY NATURAL – i.e. a man with God’s image. The consecration upon Christ causes every soul that comes in contact with him while journeying unto a state and abode called salvation (God), to be kept and given immunity against sin (i.e. against the power of darkness – Acts 26:18).
Adam’s (man’s) soul was meant to come into full salvation (i.e. God’s image and likeness) by keeping God’s commandments to the end like Jesus later did! Faith and Love are the “dollar” and “pound” of the Spirit; the currencies for processing the present man into God’s image, and the church would do well to tarry with what Paul and John primarily unveiled concerning both.
