How meek we are, can always be traced to how long we can continue to do what is right; especially when someone else – who is ignorant of the wise commandments from the Word of Righteousness – keeps doing what is wrong. Becoming meek is the most costly choice a man can make; by those who must be prepared to be despised by all those who haven’t despised this world.
A meek man is one who has been led through seasons and taught not to judge, do or say anything of his own, but to constantly live by the strength of God’s grace and in His sight. Meekness remains a violent instrument against the kingdoms of this world.
A believer who is free from the reach and fears generated by principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world-is one who has laid aside the old things or goods of his soul. Such a one has developed a single/Christlike mind or eye that solely looks for the incorruptible inheritance from the Father of lights; for the next inheritance that can only be found in the everlasting Kingdom of God the Father.
The goal of the faith of the Son (of God) is to help us live like principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world – don’t exist; it is to help us keep doing so until the mind or age called Christ – is fully formed in us. God has been giving victory over such enemies, to those who have sheepishly followed the faith of the New Testament; those who have taken it as personal as men take monetary matters.
The gospel of Christ is the (spiritual) power of God that limits every thought supervised by principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world – from perching on our soul; every thought other than the righteousness of God in Christ. A new man (Christ) is born thereby; one who should receive divine life from the gospel of God (the Father); a life that will empower us against thoughts that are mostly supervised by spiritually wicked spirits in high places.
To be delivered from the hands of our enemies is to be deaf and numb to the thoughts and feelings that they peddle, or to be separated from the fears, laws, wisdom and reach of principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world (Lk. 1:71a, Rom. 8:1-2). A believer can only be made wiser than principalities, powers and/or rulers of the darkness of this world, by hearing and keeping the name (or doctrine) of Christ called faith, hope and Charity (1Cor. 13:4-13).
In the sight of the Lord, a believer who is closer to receiving the first and last inheritance called Christ and God the Father (everlasting life), is wiser, richer, healthier and more truly prosperous than a believer who isn’t (Eph. 5:5).
The litmus test behind the trials and temptations that come the way of those who have profited with the faith of the Son or who are being introduced to everlasting life, is to prove their ability not to be offended – or to still trust the Father when His seeming inaction to their plight doesn’t go down well with them. The Lord permits them to try or further purify our faith, and to bring us back to living on our knees – especially after we have escaped doing so for a while.
Behind every temptation is a hidden evil or intent that our natural minds/eyes can’t figure out – as long as our eyes are still shopping for what’s in our favour (monetarily or personally). Victory over such is a product of the premium we place on life (Christ), or on the divine life that the Father is offering thereby; even while our eyes remain glued to the commandment(s) that springs from the Word of Christ or the actual word of God.
The soul acquires spiritual immunity by spiritual understanding; by understanding what the Lord has said or is saying. While doing so, we would realize we have no past that isn’t useful in God’s hand, no teething present challenge that isn’t worth rejoicing about, and a future that should see us become comforters to many as long as we truly and fully entrust it in God’s hands.
The following is another attempt to use the goggle of Faith to weigh and filter various thoughts from conversations under the sun, on another blessed day. Nothing heals us from being insecure like walking from Faith – through Hope – unto Charity; like adding virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and Charity—to our faith.
The triune teaching in Christ are the enlightenments on Faith, Hope and Charity. They are to purify our souls-so we thereby escape the corruption of this world; so we are prepared for seasons when corruption would be fully overcome: seasons when God would become our God (1Pet. 1:22, 2Pet. 1:4, Rev. 3:12).
